Brush Clearing

The 12th tee area on Lewis and Clark is being cleared of brush to assist in better going conditions for the turf. The right side of the 4th hole on Tavern Creek is being cleared of small saplings also.

Winter Maintanance on Equipment

Steve and Brian are working hard on all pieces of equipment in prep for the upcoming season. This involves grinding of reels, oil changes, tune ups ect.

Reshaping of Fairways

Sod has been removed and installed on the 5th and 11th fairways of Lewis and Clark. These Fairway modifications will improve playability and turf growing conditions.

Tree Pruning and Removal

Trees that have died and pose a safety concern are removed. Also, trees that block golf shots, prevent the successful environment for turf are cut down. The process in choosing this trees takes much consideration throughout the season.

Fungicide Application

This appllication is for the prevention of snow mold and cool season brown patch on all bentgrass surfaces. These diseases are prevelant when weather conditions cause freezing and thawing of the sand based greens and tees.

Christmas Lights and Decorations


November and early December is when the St.Albans team apply the Christmas theme to the clubs outside and inside. All departments are involved in some manner in this transformation.

Drainage installation


The drainage system behind the 17th green on Tavern Creek is being replaced. Also, drainage is being added to the cartpath on #1 greenside Tavern Creek.

Practice Facility Tee Resurfacing


The zoysia tee at the practice facility has been stripped and laser leveled.From this renovation the golfer will have a faster draining, pure zoysia, smoother practicing surface.
